ITEMS ACCEPTED FOR SALE   Please scroll down entire page to read ALL information for items accepted!
POLICY		Kids clothes Connection reserves the right to not accept or sell items that do not meet quality expectations or are not prepared by the standards in this web page.  ALL items should be of good quality, CLEAN, and in excellent condition, with no signs of wear or stains and no damage such as tears, missing buttons, broken zippers or snaps.  PLEASE, no items that smell of cigarette smoke or musty storage!!  Only items "seasonally" related to upcoming sale will be accepted.  Call if you are uncertain about any items. *IMPORTANT NEW RECEIVING POLICY:   When you bring items on one of the scheduled receiving dates/times we will make sure you have metal hangers only, correct tags with barcodes attached and clothes are sorted by size and sex.  After checking in at the computer you will proceed to designated tables where workers will look for these specific things, however, if workers see anything unacceptable that stands out while checking for the barcoded tags, we will return those particular sale items to the consignor,ie, obvious stains, wrong season, cigarette/moldy storage smells, etc..  We believe this will be a more efficient and less hectic process for all!  HOWEVER, after receiving has ended, a team of workers will screen more closely as we organize for the sale.  *We will pull any items that do not meet the standards and guidelines stated throughout this website and they will be donated to a charity.  The responsibility will be yours to make sure items brought to sell are acceptable.  PLEASE inspect your items carefully before spending your valuable time tagging.  If you have questions about any items, don't hesitate to ask.  *We will not pull clothing items with a "small" stain that could easily be removed or would sell because of the quality of the garment. We want to be known for having the best quality merchandise and we want you, as a purchaser, to have confidence that you are buying the best at Kids Clothes Connection!
CLOTHING		We accept gently-worn(and new), current styles, and in-season children's and maternity clothing.  We accept clothes ranging from newborn(infant) to pre-teen and girls Jrs., boys up to size 20 and waist sizes in pants.  We always encourage contributors to sell Auburn University "War Eagle!" apparel.  *Don't forget Easter outfits/swimwear for the spring sale and Christmas clothes/Halloween costumes for the fall sale! *PLEASE NOTE:  We can no longer accept ladies clothing. Ladies Purses, limit ONE, unless new with tags. *Jr clothing: We now accept a Maximum of 10 items only, odd sizes; 0,1,3,5,7,9,11,13(some exceptions with even sizes, OLD NAVY, GAP, etc).  Please do not substitute ladies clothes, they will be pulled and donated!! *Maternity clothes: We now accept only a maximum of 5 items, In season/Current styles, please! NO clothing, ONSIES included, in Ziploc bags.  NO used underwear, socks, or bras, unless new and in it's original packaging. *For Spring Sale: We will also accept long sleeve cotton infant gowns/footed sleepers.  Also light weight, light colored long sleeve shirts, khaki pants, jeans, light weight jackets, sweaters(sleeveles & button up), windsuits. *For Fall Sale:  *Do to limited rack space we can no longer accept shorts(unless corduroy or part of a "Specialty/Boutique" fall outfit)!  We will accept short sleeved button down dress shirts/Polo's for boys and short sleeve blouse/tops for girls, darker, winter colors(unless a lighter color that obviously could be worn with a "Holiday" outfit). No short sleeve "regular" T-shirts(unless they have a Halloween/Christmas design), please save them for the spring sale!  *The major exception to this rule are any short sleeve AUBURN UNIVERSITY T-shirts, accepted anytime! T-SHIRTS: We accept popular name-brands (Nike, Adidas, Gap, etc.)or dept. store brands in solid colors, college logo, or trendy prints (beach, camo, etc.); *we do not accept K-12 school, church/VBS, or rec. league T- shirts.

SHOES		We accept children's shoes (infant sizes and up to big kid sizes 9/10), no adult-style shoes please.  Must be in good condition, scrubbed clean, and tagged correctly.  Put a piece of masking tape with your code # on the bottom of each shoe. Ziploc bags(1 or 2 gal. for larger sizes) are best for shoes. Tape tag,with clear packing tape,across top and bottom to outside of Ziploc, then secure top of bag with clear packing tape. If shoes won't fit in a Ziploc, then secure with cable ties (zip ties) or pin laces together (use rubber bands for loafers).  We will accept a maximum of 6 pairs of children's style shoes per contributor.
KID'S ITEMS		Toys, DVD's, *VHS tapes (limit3), books, musical/educational CD's, games & puzzles (no missing pieces!), baby accessories, equipment and furniture, bikes, outdoor play items, riding toys, sports items.  When preparing for sale, keep the following in mind: Toys with extra small parts, please place in Ziploc bag and secure to item.  If small enough, any items difficult to attach tag, place in Ziploc bags and secure with clear packing tape across top. Tags should be taped(clear only), at the top and bottom, on the outside of a Ziploc. No Ziploc bags with assorted, misc. toys. Only like kind, ie, race cars, Barbie's, etc.  Working batteries must be included in all battery operated items. STUFFED TOYS: NO small stuffed animals!!  Medium/large only, limit 3 per consignor.  Must look new.  Do not place in Ziploc bags, will be pulled and donated!  *We accept battery operated(or interactive) stuffed toys, ie, Talking Elmo, Tigger, etc.  *No Limit. PLEASE NO"R" rated movies or home recorded video's/DVD's; No video's/DVD's without covers. PLEASE sell Barbie/Ken dolls with clothes!     BEDDING/DECOR:  *Due to lack of shelf space we no longer accept Infant/Children's bedding sets! We still accept individual comforters, sheets(or a sheet set), blankets, mattress pads, pillows, sleeping bags, picture frames, mobiles, lamps, rugs, wall hangings, etc. CAR SEATS:  must have been manufactured within the last five years and not have been involved in a car accident; those over 5 years old or under company recall will not be accepted. Please check for these recalls at www.carseat.org or 1-800-745-SAFE!! BABY EQUIPMENT/FURNITURE: includes strollers, highchairs, exersaucers, walkers, bouncey/booster seats, nursery items,etc./cribs, toddler beds, pack-in-plays, bassinets, mattresses, changing tables, etc.  **Children's furniture (i.e. cribs, pack-in-plays, etc.) MUST be fully assembled and any accompanying small items securely attached!  Broken equipment IS NOT acceptable!!  NOTE: Do to industry Recall's we can no longer accept the following items: children's jewelry, make-up items, plastic bottles(unless they say BPA free on the bottom), or Ziploc bags containing assorted toys(only like toys, ie. several hot cars only in one bag or barbie dolls in another, etc.)!!  We recommend that all contributors visit www.cpsc.gov  to check for recalled children's items.
HOUSEHOLD ITEMS		Furniture, lamps, rugs, exercise equipment, kitchen items, framed pictures/prints, bedding/bath items,however~ *no longer accept bedding sets, luggage, home entertainment equipment, electronics/computer equipment and more.  When preparing for sale, keep the following in mind: Working batteries must be included in all battery operated items. Items CLEAN not torn or broken!! Please make sure electronic equipment works like new and has all necessary components.  Due to limited space, we cannot accept many "knick-knack" items (i.e. artificial arrangements, small baskets, small glass flower vases, etc.). *Will accept "grown-up" books, limit 4 per consignor!  Tagging instructions for household items are the same. Place tag in a conspicuous place with pin or tape as appropriate for your item. Not required to contribute children's items to sell household items.
